Since the beginning of January to late April this year, the market price of R32 rose from CNY 16,500/tonne to CNY 30,000/tonne, an increase of 81.8%; the market price of R125 rose from CNY 27,500/tonne to CNY 46,500/tonne, an increase of about 69.1%; the market price of R134a rose from CNY 28,000/tonne to CNY 31,250/tonne, an increase of about 11.6%. In addition, blended refrigerant prices have also risen to varying degrees, of which, R410a rose from CNY 22,000 / ton to CNY 36,000 / ton, an increase of about 63.6%.

Refrigerant prices rose rapidly mainly because 2024 is the first year of the implementation of the third-generation refrigerant quota, the country for the refrigerant quota amount has been determined, the future supply side will not be incremental. And the demand side to benefit from overseas refrigerant supply contraction, customers turn to domestic manufacturers to buy refrigerant, at the same time every year from January to March is the domestic home appliance enterprises stocking time, for refrigerant stocking demand, the two reasons together to push up the price.
